Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two seasons of 3gun and she's still zeroed I got this mount five minutes after I got the Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 Gen 1 that I bought to use on my 3gun rifle. The mount doesn't have any knobs or levers to catch on barrel's or barricade's that my rifle is either thrown into or rested on during a 3gun match. it is also one of the lightest mounts I could find. After two years of beating my rifle, my scope and this mount around in everything that stage designers can come up with, the scope hasn't changed zero at all. I'm certain that there are more expensive mounts, and there are probably cheaper mounts. I'm not sure there is a better mount. The I brake it, they fix it warranty certainly doesn't hurt either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mount!! I bought this mount for my strike Eagle 1-6 scope and I could not be happier with it. The 2-inch offset is perfect for my AR15, it allows you to place the scope where you want it on the rail and still be able to operate the charging handle with ease. The mount is solid and I have put about 500 rounds through my rifle with the mount attached and I have not noticed any change in zero. I would recommend this mount to anybody with a strike eagle, for the price, you can't beat this. The only thing that I would like to have would be a quick detach, but you would be paying a much higher price for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough as nails This mount has been rock solid for me. I have it mounted on my JP 308 and it has stayed true with the zero. It takes the abuse I put it through

Where are these mounts made? And are they made of extruded aluminum or billet aluminum?

Asked by: myhdgt
The Sport Cantilever Mounts are manufactured in China. The mounts are extruded into their general shape, then milled to their final shape.

Will this mount allow me to fit my viper 6-24x50 hs/t on my AR15? The flat top rail extends from the receiver all the way to the end of the handguard and I’m concerned about bottoming out.

Asked by: Scotty19
You will have plenty of clearance with this mount.

What is the best way to determine if I need the 2" or 3" mount?

Asked by: rhinoel
If you run your stock extended the 2" mount should work, if you run your nose to the charging handle then the 3" will work better.

I am left handed. Can I use this scope mount. I am unsure about the offset.

Asked by: Left hand
Yes it will work great for you. The offset refers to the mount pushing the scope forward of the base for use on an AR.

Hi, the screws on the rings keep coming loose after about 100 rounds through my Ruger AR556. Am using the Vortex Strike Eagle scope. Should I use lock tite on the screws? How do I tell when I have tightened them enough?

I have a brno zkk 602 chambered in .375 h&h with (i think) the odd 19 mm base, will this mount fit?

Asked by: Brno375
This mount will not work on the dovetail that your rifle has, it is designed for a picatinny rail. I recommend a set of rings that work with the CZ dovetail for your rifle or a 1 piece rail and a set of 2 piece rings that would be compatible with a picatinny rail. Looking at Strike Eagle 1-8x24 scope with Sport Cantilever 30mm mount for my new Ruger SR-556. Q1: Is this a good setup/match? Any other you might recommend? Q2: Will I need to "lap" the rings prior to scope installation for accuracy to ~500-600yrds?

Asked by: Glenn58
That setup will work very well for you. As long as the scope spins freely in the rings you should not have to lap them.
