Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a good pod So I have had this for a little over 3 months. I have used it many times and I keep my scope mounted in it even when it's not in use (I will stop doing this). The lock down lever broke the center out so I could not lock the scope down. I believe this is do to me back packing it around with a 80 mm spotting scope still locked into it. Just could not take the stress. The locking plate is decent but in order to keep it from moving around you need to crank the screw at the bottom hard so it indents into the cork material on the top. By doing this I broke off the screw tab that flips out but the base has been staying in place now. I called vortex about the two broken parts and within three minutes of being on the phone they shipped the parts out to me. Thanks guys! And looking forward to the PST gen II I have on order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good tripod I love using this tripod. One of the major reasons why is because I am in a wheelchair and it is very easy for me to use with my hands. I know that I do not have to worry about size and weight but I have put this tripod through a lot and it has not disappointed. It is also very easy to scan with using the pan handle and it holds steady in the wind. Excellent tripod.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great heavy duty stand I bought this for my new razor hd 27-60x85. This works perfectly for this scope. It’s heavy duty and strong. Easy to adjust the legs and head. Will say the only down side is how heavy it is. Not great if going to do a backpacking trip to hunt. Would need something lighter. I don’t have that problem so this works great for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice tripod for the price! Really stable in any conditions! Holds my 85mm without any movement. Easy to adjust and use! Hard to find everything you want for the price. Only cons is it doesn't fold down very small and it is a little heavy for long hunts but you have to have some trade offs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great height Tripod fits all of my needs. It makes it easy to glass standing upright. The only complaints I have are that it is a bit on the heavy side, as well as it is a bit difficult to sit and glass with due to the middle sliding rod being in the way.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Picked up the trypod not good Just got my new Razer hd scope and tripod in. The scope is ok. but the tripod is junk. the scope wobbles all over . The base does not tighten down and I can't see through with it flopping all over. Going hunting in 1 week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable Tripod I have been using this tripod for 3-4 years now. It is with me on every hunt that I don't plan to pack in. I have not had one issue with it and is extremely quick to extend the legs and get on target.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stable platform Good quality construction. Very stable under my 85mm potting scope. Positive lock on the leg adjustments. Silky pan and tilt on the optic mount. Can't ask for much more in a tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy with this Tripod This is my first Tripod and I am very happy with it. It is a little heavy but it adds to the stability of the tripod. It is very tall which is nice and the price is on par.
