Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to attach to diamondbacks without pliers Works well but it is difficult to attach to my diamondbacks (Great Binos). There is barely enough room for the screw knob/handle. I have to use needle nose pliers to tighten.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Useful This adapter works great for steadying binos on a tripod. I use this with my Diamondback 10x42s. It does the trick, but is difficult to get on and off given the tight space. I would recommend these if you plan to leave the binos on the adapter full time, but not so much if you plan to put it on and take it off frequently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect product This Binocular Tripod Adapter was integral to the success of my last West Texas bow hunt. We were out looking for aoudad/mouflon/blackbuck for hours on end. I mounted my Vortex Diamondback binoculars using this Vortex Binocular Tripod Adapter. It was an invaluable tool that allowed me to avoid lugging around a spotting scope while still having the ability to glass the terrain with stable optics. It was not as quick to attach/detach from the Diamondback binos as I had hoped but in the end they worked out well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good adapter It's light and compact. A little difficult to attach to your binocs if you have big fingers. The tab used to thread it almost needs to extend out past the end of the binocs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made and does the job For the price, this thing is awesome. Easy way to mount my Binos onto my camera tripod to make any kind of glassing so much easier! A few things to note: it's a tight fit on my 8.5x50 Diamondbacks, really tight. It's also a little loose fitting even after cranking it down. I might add a washer or small oring just to fit it tighter. Also to really make the most you need a quick disconnect, a standard one to mount cameras. With that you can use full range of motion for the tripod head. All around great product and I can't wait to glass for hours on end.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clever Product We frequently use big box stands for hunting and resting my binoculars on the edge of the stand wasn't giving me the stability I needed for glassing out at distance. This was that perfect accessory to mount to my Viper HD binoculars to get me stable. The thumb wheel is a little difficult to work with, but it's not like this is being used under stress. Must have item for me that lives in my bag now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must use accessory I bought this tripod adapter for a pair of Diamondback 10x50 binoculars. It can be a little difficult to install as other reviewers have mentioned, but it is definitely worth the effort. Mounting the binoculars to a tripod really increases the amount of time that you can spend glassing and by removing the shake caused by your hands, it really helps to make the picture appear even sharper. I used the tripod mount in a long range shooting competition in New Mexico and having it mounted steady not only reduced the fatigue from holding it to spot for other shooters, but made it possible to see the bullet trace on a number of the shots. I would definitely recommend a tripod mount if you are spending time glassing from a stationary position.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to get on and off If your going to keep it on it’s great, if not I’d think about something else. At least with my diamondback 10x42’s and 12x50’s it’s difficult to get tights. In the field you want quick access to your bino/tripod setup, this is gonna take bit to get setup. Needs a different setup to tighten down for sure.

Is there a way to use this adapter on a Ranger 1500 range finder?

Asked by: HighPlainsDrifer
Unfortunately this adapter won't work, but the Ranger will screw down onto a quick-release plate.

What are the major differences between the two bino mounts for tripods and window mounts? I own the Viper 15x54 currently and have the summit tri pod kit.

Asked by: Ryan
For your Viper 15x50's you will need to go with the uni-daptor as the binocular tripod adapter will not work on binoculars 50 mm or bigger.

I have diamondback 10x42 binos and when I attach this, the mount can move/swing slightly left to right. Is that correct or should it be rigid not move?

Asked by: PizzaMimi
The mount should be rigid, if it is not rigid you do not have it tightened all the way down. Give us a call at 800-426-0048 ext 5 if you have problems.
