Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight spotting scope In the off season I invested in this spotting scope for moose season. Over the summer they've made the trip on every camping trip to play with and get used to. I've picked out sheeo and goats in areas I've never known there to be wildlife in. The majority of my moose hunting is done on foot so these being very light weight was a major draw for me. As to be expected from the Razor line they are very clear. They are also small enough to be easy to bring along to trips to the range. I wish the case was better fitted to the spotting scope but that's just me being picky. For the price and lack of weight these are tough to beat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding optics in a hunting pack size. At age 70, and with diminished visual acuity due to macular degeneration, having a lightweight spotting scope that fits in my hunting pack is as important to me as my rifle or my bow. I've had the scope for over 2 years and with it's excellent optics it plays a key role in my hunting success and my enjoyment of the outdoors. While it won't compete with the 65 mm and 80 mm scopes, the optics in this scope absolutely excel in the 50 mm class with exceptional clarity throughout the 11x - 33x range. I'd also give 5 stars to the Vortex VIP warranty. When my scope was accidently damaged Vortex kept me informed about the repairs and had my scope back to me free of charge in a very reasonable time frame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny I was a little concerned that I was replacing my Viper 20-60-80 with this small scope but after using it for this last season I have no regrets. Its small, light and fits in my pack with ease. From my back porch I live about 2 miles away from a mountain face full of Elk and Deer. I ts fun to watch them with the spotting scope. I can see good detail with minimal distortion. My only gripe is that the focus knob feels like it has some grit in it when turning. I never had this with the Viper. I'm not to concerned thought with the lifetime warranty if it craps out Ill send it in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Backpack hunters dream Pretty safe to say I don't leave home without this thing. The only set back for me was a rubber eye piece for using a phone scope, which I later trimmed off. Other then that, I carry a pair of 10x42 razor binos and love having this for that closer look. The size and weight of this is unmatched. Can't say enough good about these, iv tried a razor 65 mm and a viper 65 mm and always come back to the 11-33

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Spotter for the back country hunter. I have had the Vortex Razor 11-33x50 for two years now, Its a great little scope for people that carry everything on their backs. It's very compact yet clarity of the Razor HD glass makes up for the the lac of magnification. Below are a few hunts Ive been on where I was able to find animals from using my Razor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbBZ4YnpaWg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhUosRzB5YQ

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, lightweight, clear glass. A permanent fixture in my hunting pack. For hunting mountainous country I believe this little spotter is a must have. Has given me the ability to spot bedded animals and size up animals out past 1000yds. Small and light enough to carry hunting, even if you're weight conscious about your gear. Pairs well with the high country tripod. Glass is very clear, focus and magnification work smoothly. I use binos on the tripod and switch to this spotter when I want more magnification. The quick release plate makes swapping optics quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some times great things come in small packages I bought this scope a month ago and I couldn't be happier. Don't let the size of this scooe fool you, it is very powerful at long distances. I live in Arizona and with the temperature at 98 degrees this last weekend. I was looking at a mountain side about 1.5 miles out with it zoomed in all the way and the heat waves this scope is still clear enough I think you could still count points on a deer, elk for sure. It is light weight and it is very good in low light and you can't beat the VIP warranty. My father in law bought the top of the line Bushnell spotting scope which is the Bushnell Elite in a 20x60x80 and in my opinion this little vortex blows it away and the Bushnell is a very good scope. I am very happy with my choice and I would buy it all over again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I bought the 11x33 because of weight. I tell you what. If your looking for a light weight spotting scope that gets this job done, look no further and by this one. I volunteer with our wildlife division and we have been spot lighting deer. I used my scope for some long range spotting at nighttime in fog and rain and was able to easily distinguish between doe, fawn and buck. I also have used it during hunting season in western Oregon. This scope is perfect. Very little mirage and exceptional clarity.

I love the size and weight of the Razor HD 11-33x50, but I just started target shooting at 1,000 yards and wanted to know if the 33 magnification would be enough to see hits on steel at 1,000 yards?

Asked by: Isaac3181
Yes, you will be able to see impacts on steel at 1,000 yards with the Razor HD 11-33x50.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge performance in a small package I bought this to replace a bulkier diamondback 20-60x80 that I did not use very often. The first time I tried this scope I was amazed at the clarity and contrast. The 50mm objective does surprisingly well in low light conditions. Probably the most notable thing about this spotter is the weight and size. Awesome addition on a high country muley or elk hunt. My only possible complaint would be the lack of a twist up eye cup. Very pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome little spotting scope! The Razor HD 11-33x50 spotting scope is a great product! Someone in product development did their homework or got lucky creating this little gem. Works great at the range, for travel or for the purpose I bought mine for which is an spotting scope for my pack. This thing is the best idea in years when they developed it. There really wasn't a quality compact spotting scope on the market and Vortex nailed it with the Razor HD 11-33x50!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread I can't rave about this spotting scope enough. It is so easy to pack around. It's extremely compact and extremely light. It's unreal how clear and how much light this little thing lets in at max power. I take it with me everywhere. Even in very low light conditions the 50mm objective lets in plenty of light. The High Density low dispersion glass works wonders. The colors are very true and it makes spotting animals so much easier. I recently took my Razor with me and showed it to my brother in-law. He was also extremely impressed with it and picked up the straight tube version before his next hunt. I love to hookup my phone and take pictures through this bad boy. It's extremely quick and easy. I can't say enough good things about this spotting scope. I love to pack it with me whether I'm headed into the mountains or headed to the shooting range. It is way more useful then I ever imagined!
