SPARC® II Red Dot

Get on target fast with the SPARC® II. Ultra-compact and lightweight, the SPARC II (Speed Point Aiming for Rapid Combat) is equally at home mounted on an AR-15 or shotgun. Digital rear facing controls for powering on/off and adjusting the 2 MOA daylight bright red dot brightness at ten intensity levels—automatically returning to the last dot intensity used when powered up. Rugged single-piece body machined from aircraft grade aluminum is o-ring sealed for waterproof and fogproof performance. The VMX-3T Magnifier is not recommended for use with the SPARC II.

Note
The versatile multi-height mount system accommodates most firearms including AR-15s needing absolute or lower 1/3 co-witness heights, and mounts on standard Weaver or Picatinny bases (not included). A modular three-piece base offers four separate mounting heights for user- and weapon-specific customization: 18.0 mm (.709 inches), 21 mm (.823 inches), 37 mm (1.457 inches), 40 mm (1.575 inches).

I've several PST's and a Crossfire II 1-4 so I'd tried the Strikefire and wasn't impressed, sold it. I just built an AR with LWCI upper and decided to give the SPARC II a try. I took the rifle (and sight) to the range yesterday and got her sighted in in no time. Was consistently hitting the steel plate at 100 yards with every shot. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding "Bang For Your Buck" Optic As an everyday man who constantly strives to find a balance between quality and price point, the SPARC II was a huge win on both points...it just plain delivers! I have mine mounted on my S&W M&P15T and I can't say enough about this optic. Quality build, simple controls, good battery life, water/fog proof, crisp bright dot, quick zero that holds, multiple mounting options included, and not to mention the Vortex VIP Warranty...all at a fraction of the price of some other well known brands...and trust me, being in the military, I have used them all, and the SPARC II is easily on par with them. If you are looking for a quality red dot at a reasonable price...look no further!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! I had been trying to find a midrange priced red dot and had narrowed it down to a holosun and a sparc 2. After a little more thought I went with the sparc 2 and man is it great! I mounted it and paced off 50 yards to group it. I took 3 shots, walked up and checked the target and it was 1 inch low! A few clicks and had a cloverleaf bulls-eye, I am so happy I bought this, and Vortex will be my go to co. from here on out for more. I already ordered and received the extra battery holder and it is perfect, I couldn't be happier with it. I've already had about 250 rounds through it, zero problems. Thanks Vortex!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I bought it I was skeptical when I set out to purchase my first red dot. I used an Aimpoint the whole time I was in the Army. And honestly, I was shopping on price alone. I'm actually glad I did. The SPARC II was more than I expected. I really enjoyed the low rise mount. It was clearer than the Aimpoint and is more durable. I use it for hunting hogs and target shooting. It's permanently mounted to my Daniel Defense m4v7. I won't trade it (and I've been made some generous offers) for anything. Battery life is phenomenal. All in all, I'm glad I decided to shop on price. I've never been disappointed with my SPARC II.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Problem on Customer Service Purchased the SPARC II for my AR-15. Received the optic and could not get the battery cap off to install the battery. Sent it back in and they switched the cap to one without a tether so now it is much easier to take off and put back on. They did send an extra cap with tether and I was going to install it but cap would not turn smoothly in tether so I was afraid it would jam up again. Install on my weapon was easy. Only issue I have at this point is I am getting a red halo affect when the optic is turned on. I tried different distances for eye relief and it doesn't seem to go away. Not sure if that is normal for a red dot or not. I will have to wait and see how it works on the range.

I have the magnifier with the sparc 2, yet I see now you are starting it doesn't work well with the sparc under the description? Wondering why this is. I asked via email, before bought but was told it will work together. Just checking , cause blurry dot

Asked by: SShannon
The magnifier when used with the Sparcs can cause the dot to distort so we recommend using the magnifier with the Strikefire II.

I own a SPARC 2 red dot, that uses a CR2032 battery. Typically I take the battery out of the scope while the gun is being cased/stored for extended periods. Would it be unwise to leave the battery in the scope?

Asked by: wolverineffj
You should not have any issues with leaving the battery in the optic for storage.

Will Vortex SPARC II work with the century arms mount for the c39v2?  Also will I still be able to use the sights with this mounted?
Asked by: T-Flo
Yes, the Sparc II will fit on the Century Arms mount, however it will probably be too high to use the iron sights.

I guess I have an older model spark that came with a one piece rubber lens cap band that quickly broke. Will the newer spark flip up lens covers fit my older model? One thing I love about my spark is the NVG button to make the red dot barely visible (yes I can see it). When I hunt hogs at night with a green light it contrasts nicely without obscuring the target.

Trying to decide between spark ii and the spark ar, but having trouble. From I can tell differentiating features would be the spark AR has protected turrets and the spark ii has rear facing controls. Is there anything else I'm missing?
Asked by: Bryan
The Sparc AR has the mount integrated so some of the electronics are contained in the mount. This allowed us to use a AAA battery and to put the controls at the 6 o'clock position in relation to the ocular lens.

I own several of your products and I am looking for a sight to use on my shotgun for turkey hunting. Which one would yall recommend? Do you have to be looking straight down the barrel as in regular scopes?
Asked by: Bill
Our Sparc II would be a great choice for a turkey shotgun. If you wanted a smaller profile check out our Razor, Viper and Venom micro red dots. The red dots will work best if you are centered behind the optic but they will shoot where the dot is pointing so if you are not perfectly centered the optic will compensate for that.

I have a Colt LE6920. Will this mount high enough to see over the fixed front sight, also would like to get a magnifier. Will they both fit? Thank You!
Asked by: Hatman
Red dots are not designed to see over a fixed A2 sight post. They are meant to co-witness either lower 1/3 or absolute. This means the dot is either in line with the iron sights (absolute) or the dot is above your iron sights (lower 1/3). This optic comes with both mounting options.
Answered by: Jon from Sales
Date published: 2017-06-15

Is the SPARC II compatible with your 3x magnifier? Do they line up properly? Thanks.
Asked by: ddt
Those are compatible. The Sparc II is a smaller diameter tube so the Strikefire II lines up a little better as the tube size is the same diameter, however they each work well!

I have a S&W Sport II and I'd like to keep the iron sights and mount the SPARC II along with a VMX-3T magnifier, but I'm concerned about having enough room on the stock rail. Will they both fit on the rail out of the box and if not, is there a cantilever mount I could use with the SPARC II to move it forward enough to make them both fit and yet still allow the setup to be useable?
Asked by: Fratz
They will both fit on the rail of your receiver. To mount both requires 4.7" of rail space from front of the Sparc II to back of the mount on the VMX-3T.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommended I bought the Sparc || about 8 months ago and I absolutely love it. I have it mounted on a AR10 which I use for pig hunting and let me tell you this thing gets beat up and abused. I have never had to re sight it in which is amazing. I know y'all probably think I'm crazy, but this takes the abuse way better than my EOTech. I'm actually thinking about getting rid of it and buying another Sparc ||. This is a great product and I recommend this product for everyone! And no I was not paid to write this review this is just a very good product. Thank you Vortex for an amazing product at a affordable price.
