Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product very very happy! When I bought my first AR I asked everyone what they recommended for a red dot and without hesitation everyone said VORTEX! Picked this thing up for 9.99 and couldn’t be happier, very easy to use looks great on the gun and it’s backed by the best warranty in the business, won’t go anywhere else for optics

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best red dot for the $$ After owning this red dot, I don't see myself buying another brand or model. Fair price, lightweight, solid, fast sight picture, adjustments are easy, and comes with the mount! Don't forget the lifetime warrenty... Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great red dot at a great price point! I bought one of these years ago and put it on my M&P 15-22 for plinking and rabbit hunting. Over the years, it has just kept working! I have a few other higher priced red dots from other companies, and this red dot works every bit as good as them, and is a lot cheaper... But still a very dependable and quality product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my AR build! I run this red dot on my Wilson Combat AR setup, and it's the prefect optic! Coupled with my Vortex 3x magnifier, I can quickly switch between close and mid-range targets whether I'm putting rounds on paper at the range or small-game hunting. The Strike Fire II is exceedingly well-built, with a ruggedness that has served it and me well while dragging my rifle through the scrub and brush, and it's good looks and design means it cleans up well for plenty of compliments after a good cleaning. Would not only recommend to anyone I know, but will be buying another to go on my new SBR when my tax stamp comes in!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing products I’ve had this red dot for over a year now and has been threw fire and back. Late night hog hunts and endless rounds of target and fun shooting the optic has never let me down. Also have only sighted this optic in once. Never once has it ever came off sight even after falling in a river. The optic was underwater for over an hour. Honestly I thought I had lost my gun forever but lucky we found it. Pull the gun out of water and found nothing wrong with the optic. Absolutely amazing products and by far my favorite! Will always recommend vortex to anyone!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good beginner optic It is a decent beginner/ entry level red dot. That being said it is still a good red dot for the price but would advise to save for the Spitfire prism for a smaller MOA dot thus allowing the shooter to be more accurate in their shots. The length of the optic body is a bit large for being a simple red dot with zero internal magnification. That being said, I did receive one with a thread on 2x magnifier which is nice but is a little bit tedious to have to screw on and un-screw to get off in order to switch between magnifications. Personally it was a nice touch to make it an option, but I would just stick with the 3x magnifier that flips to the side versus messing with the thread on 2x.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product Durability This product is the product that made me a life time Vortex customer. This was my only electronic product that survived Hurricane Harvey. I did not have a single other red dot, night vision scope, predator call, TV, appliance, remote, ect that still worked after my apartment flooded with nearly 6 feet of water. I wasn't worried about the product because I knew Vortex had a great VIP warranty but when I looked through it and saw there was no water in the lenses and then turned it on and it fired right up I was shocked and ecstatic. Vortex is as good as it gets when it comes to a complete package.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Vortex When i mounted the Strikefire2 to my AR i was seeing a bunch of little dots not just one. I called Vortex and spoke with Kim she told me it may be my eyes but to send it in just to be sure. She sent me a prepaid fedex shippment and i sent it off. A couple of days later she emailed me saying it was definitely my eyes with pictures of red dot attached. Most companies would have ended there, but not Kim or Vortex they offered me to exchange the sight for something else even though nothing was wrong with it. I opted to just keep the strikefire i received it back today and inside was a very nice vortex hat again that was an unexpected surprise after dealing with Kim and the whole Vortex staff i will never buy another brand of optics for any of my firearms

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install, easy to Zero! I purchased this for my Rock River AR. It was easy to install, and only required a tiny elevation adjustment once I got it to the range. It looks great on my rifle, and holds true. It’s been banged around a little bit, but hasn’t lost any accuracy, and functions just as well as the day I purchased it. If you’re looking for a red dot, don’t bother with others brands, go straight for the StrikeFire II.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am hooked! With the addition of a Strikefire II to my new Sig M400, I now have the sight on 3 of my AR's. I love the sight for it's fast target acquisition and the fact that it holds zero so well. I have had problems with other red dots not holding zero when removed during maintenance or other work. The Strikefire rarely requires adjustment when I check my zero following maintenance or an extended firing session. In addition, I have Vortex scopes on several bolt-action rifles and Vortex red dots on 3 pistols. All are terrific. Not a single warranty issue on any optic. Can't wait to get my hands on a new Razor AMG "Huey". Guess its time to start looking for a new rifle to put it on. Keep up the great work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strike Fire is a hit with my group Purchased the Strike Fire I years ago, it was my first Red Dot on my first AR15 build, a AR15, 5.56 16" barrel all in black. Since then and 8 AR15 builds more, I've out fitted 4 more AR15 with Strike Fire IIs. This Red Dot takes a beating and shines over many others. Very affordable value in cost but performs as in a much higher level of class. Weight is good and takes a beating during field use. You can do no better when out fitting your AR with a strong good Red Dot that will not break the bank.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great optics, great prices......will buy more. I bought this optic about 3 months ago. I put it on my first AR (Ruger) and the cantilever design fit great. When I bring the rifle to firing position the line of sight alignment is dead on. First time at the range last month and it was very little sighting to be dead on. I love your products, this purchase made me select a Vortex 3x magnifier to pair with my red dot. Not to mention great prices on Vortex optics. Thank you Vortex for putting out another great product. I will be buying future products for my other weapons.......next tactical sight for my model 94 30-30.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely satisfied! Great for plinking plates! Last summer I decided to build my first rifle which was an 80% as well. A lot of people had their opinion about optics manufacturer and everyone has their favorite. As for me, I dont follow the crowd. I for one choose what catches my eye. Be it the price, which Vortex has a very balanced price point, looks, which as you see in the picture is very tactical, and efficiency, which after a quick zero at the range I have yet to readjust my Red dot. After many visits to the range till this day she holds true at 50. Only problem I had was my dot was to high with the stock mount. Had to buy the low and med to find the right hight and have my dot and iron sight line up for backup. Other than that I Love my Vortex Strikefire II. Will need to pick something nice up for my Remington 700 soon. Keep up the good work yall!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality, dependability, and price!!! My collection of Vortex products continues to grow!! I recently purchased the Strike Fire II Red/Green Dot without bothering to read the reviews. Why? Because I have spent somewhere in the range of 00 worth of Vortex products and I have yet to have any issues, gripes, complaints, or concerns with any of their products. If I did have any issues their awesome VIP warranty will take care of it. One more thing, thanks for the cap Vortex!!! I was in dire need of a new one!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Value I purchased this for a FN15 DMR II. At 30m, the first 3 shots were on the paper. My 7th shot was in the center. Long story short, this sight is incredibly easy to zero, and has held zero through about 500 rounds. Mount it properly and you are good to go. I also purchased the 3x Magnifier, and am absolutely in love with the pair. It’s very easy to operate, and looks incredible. You’ll get a lot of compliments from this setup, and you’ll have a ton of fun shooting it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Feel, Looks Great This scope is brand new to me, but it looks great, feels like a very solid item. Was easy to install and sight in. The Red/Green option is fantastic and the 10 levels of brightness is a sweet feature, very visible and small dot. I've seen some red dots that cover up too much, this does not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent choice Purchased this sight to pair with my S&W, M&P15. Love the fact that I can still use my original sights without any modifications. Several different levels of brightness on both red and green. Vortex Optics warranty along with the price that I paid....excellent choice for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from At home on my HD shotgun Originally purchased this for my first AR. But the dot was too big for some of the distances I shoot. And my aging eyes need magnification. Shooting distances under 50 yards, this baby is awesome. Better shooters with better eyes could probably take this dot out to 100, but that aint me. I put a Vortex 1-4 on the AR and moved this to my HD shotgun. That's where it really shines IMHO. dot holds zero under the heavy recoil. The red/green option is useful at the range. Adjustments are easy and accurate. Glass is clear and bright. Could not ask for anything more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best red dot out there!! This is mounted on a 308 AR. Zeroed it in 2 shots. Has not budged in over 2 years of owning. VERY durable and shockproof. Battery life is crazy long. Glass is very clear. With a great field of view. VERY tough red dot!!
Date published: 2017-11-02
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product I have used this product for the past two years for hunting. It works great in all light conditions from dawn to dusk. Right now I have it on a ruler precision rifle in 6.5 creedmoor. The only thing that I wish is that the dot was smaller so it did not cover up so much of the target at distance. The overall construction of the product is great. Very tough and it will take a lot of abuse. I am not the easiest on my hunting equipment when it comes to travel and the hunt it self. Love the products and have chosen this over all the other red dots that I own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This scope will take the recoil I bought this scope for my Remington 11/87 For turkey hunting. Using 3 inch magnums. The scope handled the recoil and has never got knocked off.
Date published: 2017-09-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality, durability, dependability I've owned several different types of reddot sights from, barska, BSA, etc. I like the weight of it because it's a solid set up. The controls are easy and being able to switch from red to green dot with the push of a button. It's easy to zero it in with no hassle. I've dropped it already several times and the glass piece didn't scratch or break. This reddot takes a beating and it's good for active range shooters and it would definitely serve it's purpose for law enforcement in the field and it won't let you down. Buy one and you won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sight! Bought a Strikefire from Amazon, not a Strikefire II, but I think they’re close enough to count. Very clear glass, with top notch electronics, on an excellent cantilever mount right out of the box. Slapped it on my MOE’d up AR, and it shot great. It cowitnessed perfectly with both the lower 1/3, and “actual” mounts. Couldn’t ask for a better red dot sight for the price. Having the “no questions” lifetime guarantee, left me with a confident feeling as well, that I’d be okay in the even of a catastrophic failure on my part, or the sight’s part.
Date published: 2017-11-20
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Night hog hunting I use this on my night hog hunting AR in conjunction with a green light. The adjustable intensity of the red dot is perfect for adapting light conditions. As the night gets darker I back it off and it is dead on all the time. I've only had to change the battery once in two seasons and it's simple to do. I was able to change it while in the stand in the dark without tools or dismounting in about two minutes. You can't beat this red/green dot scope for the price. From 18 degrees to 108 degrees this scope delivers consistently night after night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Red/Green dot model I bought this Strikefire II on sale last year along with the 3X magnifier. Really like the 10 levels of brightness control, being able to quickly switch between red and green dots to take advantage of lighting changes, the cantilever design which permits cowitnessing with BUI's, the swing out of the magnifier to quickly take advantage of this feature. I have not had much opportunity yet to shoot the gun-a DDM4V11, but when I took it to the range, sighting in was rather quick. I really like it and hope to hunt with it in the near future.
Date published: 2018-03-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1st AR 15 build On my first Ar15 build I went with a simple .223/5.56 upper, 18 inch barrel with a 1/7 ratio. I needed something adaptable for hog hunting where it was close quarters or at a vast distance. I then did some research on optics. Because of the circumstances of the game and their unpredictability in feeding I needed an optic with that would not compromise my vision at night. The vortex strike fire II red/green dot was the most attractive both in style, size and effectiveness. Easily adjustable, dependable, great price and looks phenomenal!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would buy again I bought this to see how well I liked red-dots. I didn't want to spend 0 on an Aimpoint and I also didn't want to spend . I was familiar with Vortex products and their guarantee so I went with this. Have had it for 3-4 years and haven't had one problem. Wished the battery life was longer but I do not have a need to leave it on 24/7 so that's not a real problem for me. Customer service with Vortex is excellent. I misplaced the original flip caps and called to order a replacement. They provided a replacement set at no cost.
Date published: 2017-06-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough Red Dot For the price, it absolutely can't be beat. I have it mounted on my VEPR 7.62x39 and it has maintained it's zero for three years since I first installed it. I'm not easy on any of my gear, I put it to work, and the Strikefire has not let me down. The dots are crisp and the glass is clear. My only complaint, if you could call it that, is if you accidently bump the NV button, you may think the battery is dead or failing. Just give it another tap and bring the dot back up to last brightness setting. I would buy again in a heartbeat.
Date published: 2017-06-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome optic With so many other options and way higher price points, I decided to give this a shot as my first Red dot purchase. I am so glad I did. Besides the rugged frame at a great price, it also comes with the cantilever mount. You can’t beat that with a stick. Sighting in was a breeze. Batteries have lasted a year now with normal range and field use. My only set back is the dot could be a little less fuzzy but it’s not a fault. I have since bought another for my 2nd AR. Vortex is now my official optics company. And that VIP warranty!!!!
Date published: 2018-03-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customer for life! This is a great CCO! Easily sighted. Durable. The variable intesity is great and the selector buttons are easy to find/easy to use. I use this optic on my mil spec AR, which is basically a beat-around rifle. The sight is perfect even up to 100 yards. And you can easily co-witness through the glass if needed. I am currently building a 3G and a presision rifle. Both will be dressed with a Vortex optic! As for Vortex, itself, they have won me over with their great product at a reasonable price, and their incredible support for the veteran community. And i like that they are local to me (Southern Wisconsin), so i can stop in any time and see Jon and know he will take excellent care of my and my buddies. YES...I WILL BUY AGAIN...FOR ALL MY FUTURE OPTICS NEEDS!!!

My gun is stored overnight in my locked truck at our remote hunt camp. Each morning I have to put a warm battery in my sight (SFRD-AR15) for it to operate. I have two batteries that I alternate each morning and the sight works fine for the day of hunting.

Hi, do y'all still sell the 2x screw in magnifier that used to come with the original Strikefire. I have many Strikefires and of course the Strikefire 2 doesn't come with it anymore. I am having to move the magnifiers from gun to gun. Wanted to buy some.

The only magnifier that we have currently is our VMX-3T magnifier. Here is a link: http://www.vortexoptics.com/product/vortex-vmx-3t-red-dot-magnifier
